Put on your running shoes, it’s time for movement!

By Pastor Heather Stanley. May 7,2023

Your miracle requires movement and letting faith arise.

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.

Romans 10:17

So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, (She moved! She pressed through the crowd!) 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

Mark 5:24-29 NIV

1. Press past pain and let faith arise

  • Physical pain
  • Emotional pain
  • Relational pain
  • Financial pain
  • Career pain

Pain can either paralyze you or propel you.

2. Press past disappointment and let faith arise.

The Bible says she went to doctor after doctor and didn’t find any answers to her problem.

This lady in Mark 5 pressed past disappointment and what man said was impossible

Your miracle is in your movement! There’s a blessing in the pressing.

3. Press past religion and let faith arise.

She pressed past religion and touched Jesus.

Don’t let your mess keep you from pressing towards Jesus.

You can’t get a miracle unless you’ve got a mess.

Your mess only means you’re a candidate for a miracle.

4. Press past people and let faith arise.

1. Press past negative influences

2. Press past doubters.

3. Press past haters.

4. Press past yourself.

Your miracle is in your movement! There’s a blessing in the pressing.

At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” 31“You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’” 32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

Mark 5:30-34 NIV

5. Press past your bad memory and let Faith arise.

Don’t you remember the five loaves of bread and the five thousand people, and how many baskets of fragments you picked up? Or the seven loaves that fed four thousand, and how many baskets of leftovers you collected?
